Catalin AlexandruA gaming economist said of the news: “About Sony’s partnership, it seems like a classic case of two drunks holding each other. Sony itself is obviously not “drunk” because it runs a legitimate business, but the blockchainist meets the bill. But it seems to be the case of FOMO.
He added that like Ubisoft’s initiative, it was more like making sure that no one was highly aware of the technology encountered internally in case it caused a fire, but Ubisoft started early. There is nothing new or specific about Sony’s blockchain, it seems to be the usual total contradiction (Sony-controlled “decentralized” chain, some vaguely waving it for player ID and anime NFTS). ”
“Sony has a history of a platform that is not in DNA, seeing unfortunate adventures and hastily exited the mobile live service game,” he said.
