Wilson, 25, was traded after three turbulent seasons in New York and did nothing during the 2024 season, with the Denver Broncos being the third-string quarterback. He rose to Miami’s depth chart, but for Wilson, he hopes that he still has a chance to return to the starter.

“I mean I want to see it differently,” Wilson told reporters Monday when asked if he embraced “Travel Records.”

“Obviously, there’s nothing wrong with being a traveler, but I still believe that whenever an opportunity comes, I can be a starter in this league. So I just want to put myself in the best form with the best team and coaches and do my best and hopefully at some point that opportunity you can get what you can show you can do.”

Wilson is on the bench with the Jets in his second season, a move that will pave the way for four-time league MVP Aaron Rodgers. However, Rodgers’ end-of-season injury will give Wilson another chance.

Although not turning the situation around, Wilson said his time with the Broncos gave him time to develop and improve, and he hoped that his time in Miami would do that.

“What don’t like, right? Very explosive offense, I think they did a great job, and it started with the coaching [Mike] McDaniel kept walking. I just said the entire offensive staff did a good job. You’ve seen how tua [Tagovailoa’s] The development has also disappeared since he’s been there and I think I’m happy to be with those guys. ”
