“The United States lacks the ability to absorb large numbers of immigrants, especially refugees, and will not enter its communities in a way that does not undermine the availability of resources for Americans, thereby protecting their safety and security and ensuring proper assimilation of refugees,” Trump said in his January 20 order.
The case was filed by the refugee group, including the International Refugee Aid Program, the HIA, the Lutheran community serving Northwest and individual refugees. The group believes their ability to provide services to refugees has been undermined by Trump’s orders.
