Maximum Announce Wednesday, HBO series “Our last one” will premiere in American Sign Language (ASL) on April 13.
It is worth noting that this is the first time HBO’s original content has access to ASL in the service, which represents a step towards inclusion toward audiences of deaf and listeners. Additionally, Max offers ASL versions of “Barbie Dolls”, “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” and “Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire”.
(Disney+ is another major streaming medium that offers ASL options, including Marvel’s “Ant-Man”.)
Starting March 31, the first season of “Our Last” will also be streamed in ASL, allowing deaf viewers to catch up with the show before the new season is released.
The ASL version will be performed by “Coda” actor Daniel Durant and ASL performer Leila Hanaumi.
