Senior Democratic strategist James Carville spoke frankly about his predictions, then-President Kamala Harris Will win the 2024 presidential election.
In the final weeks of the election cycle, Carville launched a media round expressing Democrats’ confidence in shutting President Donald Trump out, and even wrote an op-ed in the New York Times titled “I’m sure Kamala Harris will win.”

Coincidentally, Trump eventually won the presidency with 312 votes and finally won the universal voting vote with a certain position.

“You re-learned the oldest lessons in politics. The biggest motivation for voting, voting, persuasiveness is one reason. If you don’t have a reason, you won’t be able to [win],” Cavill said. “People have reason to vote for Trump. One reason they are looking for is that I should consider more about people wanting to change. ”

Harris has caused buzz in 2028 since her failure against Trump, as early polls showed her dominance in the field of potential democratic rivals (although name recognition is likely a big factor). Some have also become Democratic contenders in the 2026 California gubernatorial election after its current Governor Gavin Newsom left the office.
When asked whether Harris should run for governor in 2026 or again for president in 2028, Cavill avoided a strong stance.
“I don’t recommend that someone should or shouldn’t run for inauguration,” Cavill said. “If she runs for president again, she has to be much better than in 2024. Maybe she is.”

The former Clinton agent remains firmly convinced that Harris will hold an open primary after Biden’s sudden exit from the 2024 game, which would be the “better candidate” to brush up on ideas like CNN commentator Bakari Sellars, because his party regrets it.
But when asked if he wanted to see Harris run again, he once again didn’t take a firm stance.
“Well, I mean, first of all, I think everyone should run,” Cavill said. “I have a lot of friends. I think you should run. It would be very, very difficult for her to win the nomination, but it would be difficult for anyone else.”

Cavill admitted: “I was wrong,” and in 2024 his prediction was a “mistake”, highlighting Democrats that it is possible to acknowledge when they were at fault.
“The public never cares if you’re wrong. When they’re bored or predictable, they’ll turn on you. That’s what they don’t like,” Cavill said to the Fox News digits. “If you don’t have to say something in a colorful way, then you know what you’re talking about? It’s the vapid stuff. I think the public is just tired of talking points. They’re just exhausted.”
