Organizers of San Francisco Pride shared financial issues as they raised funds this year.
SF Pride executive director Suzanne Ford said the show will continue, but organizers will have to pay a smaller budget. Ford doubts it’s part of a wave of businesses Diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) The Trump administration’s plan.
“I’m very worried. Obviously, there is pressure from the federal government,” Ford told Local fox members.
“The tone of this country has changed. Businesses have hedged their bets, and I think those people, that’s not the core value of their company, maybe they’re rethinking investments.”

SF Pride is a nonprofit organization that holds annual parades and festivals in San Francisco for two days. It is scheduled to be held from June 28 to 29, and this year’s theme is “Strange Joy is Resistance”. According to their website, the event is one of the largest LGBTQ+ celebrations in the world, attracting more than one million attendees each year.

Ford said five companies canceled SF Pride sponsorship, resulting in a loss of about $300,000, and told Fox News Digital that “the overall budget target is $2.3 million, and although we have committed nearly $1 million, we now need to raise an additional $1.3 million to meet our goals. We are still focused on ensuring the funding needed and ongoing community support and appreciate our community support.””. ”
The companies that raised funds were reportedly Welfare Cosmetics, Comcast, Anheuser-Busch, alcoholic beverage companies Diageo and Wine Company La Crema.
However, La Crema tells Fox News Digital: “La Crema is still fully committed to the LGBTQ+ community. Although we have to expand this year’s SF Pride activation, it is by no means our intention to leave completely step by step. We are having an ongoing conversation with organizers and we hope we can still find ways to collaborate at this year’s events.”

“Our company has not yet distanced itself from DEI – we continue to support pride activities across the country and in our backyards and maintain a long-term advocacy partnership with Equality California,” the statement continued.
