One traveler said she received an unexpected request from a hotel after booking a room through Expedia.
After finding a special deal at the travel site and receiving a purchase confirmation, the woman received news from the hotel, she wrote on sub-line R/Travel.
The woman said hotel officials asked her to cancel the room.

The woman said she contacted the hotel after talking to a representative from Expedia.

According to comments in the thread, Expedia has been in touch with Reddit users.

Travelers on Reddit asked other users if they had ever encountered similar suggestions and asked for suggestions.
