Can light withstand elements?
On a recent camping trip, the Vibe Pixie string lights were great.
As an outdoor light, it should be very suitable for handling external weather conditions. However, the range of string lights will work in a factor where you can live. The IP65, IP67 or IP68 has the best waterproof rating, but the IPX4 will work too. The first three will handle wet and dust conditions better than the IPX4, as it is only used for some light moisture.
Another weather factor to consider is the temperature range. If you live in an area where you can experience four seasons, you need to make sure that the lights you purchase can withstand changes from frozen winters to blazing summers. However, if you don’t plan to keep the lights in more extreme times, you’ll have less lights.
Light bulbs and lightweight
Like most other light bulbs, outdoor thorn lights will appear in various bulb types and styles. Many modern outdoor string lights offer LED lighting sources as it increases lifespan, reduces energy demands and is brighter. Nor do these lamps produce near the heat of more traditional incandescent bulbs. LED bulbs can also provide seemingly unlimited color range.
LEDs can also perform well within the range of available bulb styles, as the light source is small and it can be mounted within any size or shape of the housing. Incandescent bulbs come in a wide range of styles, but bulb sizes may be limited. This is because the smaller the bulb, the smaller the internal wire, and less filament means smaller light. Over time, the LEDs became warmer and more like their charming incandescent cousin.
Last note: Our choices are mostly larger, brighter bulbs that work harder year-round on the outside. The length of light

Once you find out the style and light type you want, you need to determine how long the space will take for light. Outdoor chord lights come in many different lengths, some even expandable. Measure the distance between each hanging point from start to finish will give you a good idea of the length you need. Just make sure to add a few feet, as you will measure in a straight line and when hanging the lights, the hanging points will sag between them. So if the size is 25 feet, you may need to buy nearly 30 feet of light.
Smart features
If you want to control outdoor lights through the app, you need to look for that extra upgrade. Application controls often allow for more customization, color options, scheduling and preset modes. They may also have the option of music sync or matching certain color palettes.
However, if you want to support specific smart home platforms like Apple Home or Google Home (like Alexa or Siri), you will need to look for lights that mention their support for these features.
