Although Justin Fields and Russell Wilson handled the Steelers’ starting quarterback duties at different times last season, who will be in a stumbling spot in the center once the regular season begins.
Tian Ye agreed for two years Contract with Jets Earlier this week, Wilson reportedly visited other teams. While there are more answers than answers in the Pittsburgh quarterback room, the legendary franchise does strengthen its extensive receiver corps by adding DK METCALF.
The Steelers sent a draft pick to Pittsburgh in exchange for Metcalfe. ESPN reported that the star-wide receiver then agreed to a five-year, $150 million extension.

During his introductory press conference, Metcalf took a moment to praise the Steelers for providing a warm reception.

Metcalf, who ended last season with 992 catch yards, also admitted that he could not control the team’s personnel. But he said a discussion with Tomlin and other decision makers for the Steelers gave him confidence in the quarterback they were about to sign.

“They made me feel like I made the right decision, who would throw the football at me,” Metcalf said. “I’m not making the decision in the quarterback room.

Metcalf, George Pickens Calvin Austin III is the Steelers’ top receiver to enter the 2025 season. Metcalf wore a No. 14 jersey during his six years in Seattle. Pickens wore the same numbers, so Metcalf decided to switch to No. 4.

“I mean, he’s been here and he made a staple in No. 14,” Metcalf said of Pickens. “I’m not trying to get rid of anyone’s legacy, I just want to help build my legacy.”
The Steelers ended the 2024 regular season with a record of 10-7 and were eliminated in the playoffs.
